One thing I noticed after being in the motorcycle industry for the last 10 years is how much junk products there are out there. And this goes for motorcycle sound systems as much as any other product. Junk might not be the best word to use so I will switch to "copycat look-alikes". When the first 2" Bullet Speakers were manufactured by Cycle Sounds (formally know as 2 Wheel Tunes) a few years back the "copycats" were out in full force with 1 year. Let me tell you from experience, nobody, and I mean nobody, builds a better motorcycle speaker system than Cycle Sounds. This past year they have really out done themselves when the introduced the 2.5" and amazing 3" Motorcycle Sound Systems. They will play off any music source that uses a standard 3.5MM earphone jack. This includes iPods, MP3's, Satellite Radios, and more.

3" Handlebar Speaker Systems Rocks!

New LED Bulbs
We just picked up a whole new line of LED replacement light bulbs for motorcycle and automotive applications. I am very excited about this new line because not only are there many different styles to choose from but most of them carry a lifetime warranty against LED failure and that is not something you find everyday. There are countless websites offering LED bulbs that claim to be the best and brightest on the market today. Part of what makes the bulbs "the best" is what kind of warranty they carry. Any company producing an LED replacement bulb that has a lifetime warranty is make a product that will last and when it comes to motorcyclist we all want the best for our bikes.
These new LED bulbs are available in 1156, 1156, 3157, 194, and 1895 styles bases in a traditional straight-on style of new 90 degree right angle style. but also come in variety of features depending on your application.
We are now stocking these bulbs in the Standard Economy variety which is an equivalent to your incandescent bulb. Nice and bright, inexpensive, and last up to 100,000 hours. All these LED replacement bulbs are a direct replacement for your stock bulb. There is no need to change the socket or do anything special to make them fit.
A Hyper Bright that is 5 times brighter than stock. This also happens to be our most popular bulb. This bulb has a 30 degree viewing angle with a Plug-N-Play installation into a standard bulb socket.
We also have a Hyper Bright Wide Angle bulb that is the same brightness as our Hyper Bright bulbs but offers a whopping 100 degree viewing angle. This feature makes them a perfect bulb for motorcycle turn signal application.
Radial Hyper Bright bulbs pack the same punch as our Hyper Bright but adds the extra illumination by having LEDs shining in a 360 degree pattern around the base of the bulb. These are available all in one color or in the featured color with white radial LEDs to illuminate the license plate of a motorcycle.
The coolest new bulbs have to be our Right Angle Hyper Bright bulbs. With the 90 degree right angle technology these bulbs are a perfect fit for the Harley Davidson models with the large flat style turn signals. These turn signals have a bulb socket that comes in from the side not allowing a standard LED replacement bulb to shine thru the lens.
Keep in mind, when switching over to LEDs a Dual Load Equalizer may be needed to slow the turn signal flash rate back to normal. These are very easy to install and can be found at Chrome Glow.com
All these and many more LED replacement bulbs for motorcycle turn signals and brake lights are available at www.ChromeGlow.com

Knight Riderz LED Light Bars
It's all about being seen these days and I have found a real "attention getter" for riders with trunks, tour paks, and saddlebag. Unlike most Motorcycle LED Light Bars these days that are just on or off, these feature a moving light traveling sided to side.
The Knight Riderz LED light bars mimic that classic TV series car from the 80's. The LED light pattern travels sequentially from side to side just like the car on TV.
Check out the video below to see it in action.
The design of these is what really sets them off from other light bars because they are a flush mount with the wires coming directly out the back(middle) of the Knight Riders Light Bar. Plus they come with 40" wire leads and have 3M double-sided mounting tape pre-applied to the back. You just have to drill one small hole to feed the wires through, peal the tape, and stick to the surface.
The come in Red, Amber, and Blue LED versions that are 4.75" or 7.5" long. The also come in colored or smoked lenses. Pretty cool if I do say so myself.
And, if your not into the "scrolling" LEDs they make them in versions that don't move at all.
The way they work:
Can be connected to any 12V DC power source. Simple 3 wire hook-up too. They work as both running lights and brake light.
LEDs will scroll from side to side (just like the Knight Rider car from TV) as the running light. When you apply your brakes the entire light bar will flash on & off 6 or 7 times and go on solid. This is a great attention getter to let drivers behind you know your slowing down and getting ready to stop.
Like I said before, there are models available that don't scroll but still flash 6 or 7 time and then go on steady. There is also a Knight Riderz Light Bar version that just illuminates at 1/2 intensity as a running light and then full intensity as a brake light( no scroll or flash). Makes a perfect 3rd brake light too.
Either way you go you won't be disappointed. They are brighter than hell and carry a lifetime warranty. You can find them at www.ChromeGlow.com.
You have to check out the video!

These flexible LED strips are so versatile they can be mounted out of site in just about any application. Measuring a slim .150" thick (just over 1/8") and available in 3 lengths they work perfect for motor lighting, ground effects, saddlebag lighting, or just about anywhere on your bike.

The Strips: 3 different lengths - 1.5", 6", & 9". Flexible in every direction down to about 1-1/2" diameter. Each Chameleonz LED strip comes with 3M double-sided tape applied to back surface. A whopping 60" wire lead on each strip allowing you to illuminate a front wheel without having to extend the wires.
The 1.5" strips have a total of 9 LEDs. The 6" strips have 36 LEDs total and the 9" have 54 color changing LEDs per strip.
One of the best features of the Chameleonz Color Changing Strips is that they are sealed water tight with a clear sheathing protecting them from just about any road hazard or weather condition you may encounter. This feature is what makes them work so effectively as LED ground effects or wheel lighting.
The Chameleonz Remote: Each remote comes with 2 key fobs allowing you to control the fuctions of the Chameleonz Strips up to 75 feet away. No external switch on the bike to have to turn on when it gets dark! The remote has 7 different functions with a memory that remembers where you left off the last time you shut them off.
Mode1) Solid Color - pick from any one of the colors and leave it on that color. Includes 5 intensity levels as well so you can dim down the lights if you would like.
Mode2) Flashing Color - make any one color flash in 5 different speeds.
Mode3) Color Cycle - Automatically cycles through the colors in 5 different speeds.
Mode4) Color Fade & Cycle - Colors will fade on in one color then off and then back on in the next color. This will repeat through all the colors and then start over again.

Warrrensburg Bike Week
Well, the first official Warrensburg Bike Week has come and gone in upstate NY and what a success it was. With hundreds of vendors lining the streets of this little Adirondack town it was a natural draw for motorcyclist not wanting to pay the $10.00 entrance fee at the Expo in Lake George.
The Chrome Glow LED Lighting truck rolled into Warrensburg on Friday May 29th and we were setup for business by the following morning and the riders were already lining up for LEDs. And we weren't the only vendors enjoying all the business. We set up in the QVN Auto Lot along with Dallas Motorcycle Accessories, Bobbies Chrome Accessories, Spruce Mountain Surplus(military Surplus), a Pin Striper, a Leather Vendor, multiple food vendors, and lots of hospitality tents for relaxing.
By mid week all the vendors were keeping very busy and the motorcycles kept coming. Without a parking meter insight everyone not only enjoyed the admission free vendors but absolutely no parking fees anywhere. This town really knows how to embrace a motorcycle rally. Along with the great efforts of Don Bagwell, the Town of Warrensburg adminstrators, and the local businesses I can see this event growing to "major bike rally size" in just a few years. To learn more about Warrensburg Bike Week or if you are interested in being a vendor next year, click here to visit Warrensburgbikeweek.com
By the end of the week all the vendors were in full stride with installation appointments booked for each day. The hot items this year were any LED upgrade to stock brake lights. The most common statement we heard all week was "I want to be more visible when riding". "I need a brighter brake light". Sweet words to my ears!! Our LED Flexible Arrays with turn Signals were a great seller and added not only greatly increased visibilty to motorcycle but also looks great on the bike. Another good seller was our replacement LED Taillights from Kuryakyn and Radiantz. I'd have to say we changed a whole bunch of turn signals over to Street Magic LED clusters as well. All in all, safety seemed to be the main topic on peoples mind when looking for LEDs this year and Chrome Glow delivered with over 500 products on hand and ready for installation. So get your calender and start planning for next year becuase this is definetly a motorcycle rally you are going to want to attend.
